What happens when your phone LCD screen is spoilt and you need the data inside it?
The rest of the phone still works fine. The phone has power. The phone sound / vibration can be heard / felt when it is switched on and off. The camera functions well by using the external buttons.
The only problem is that you can see the interface.
This is an experiment that I am trying now. I got myself a MHL to HDMI cable. It is basically a 5 pin micro-USB with an attachment to a HDMI connector.
You can project whatever shows on your phone LCD screen to a HDMI capable monitor such as your LCD / LED TV.
